René Mayer, Ingrid Mayer and Hannes Fischer
| The beginnings |
1953 Emil Mayer founded the company "Mayer Holzhandelsunternehmen" with passion and dedication as a one-man business.
Emil Mayer's philosophy was based on high quality and total reliability related to the product wood as well as to his business relations in Austria and internationally, as many of his customers remember.
In the early Eighthies the thriving business was transformed into a limited company. |
Internationally Renowned Company |
1990 Edgar Mayer took over the management as well as sales and purchasing in Europe and Overseas. Due to his extraordinary talent for languages and communication the company experienced a further international upswing. His brother René is co-owner and is now responsible for sales and purchasing in Europe.
| Also in 1990 the company moved closer to the local railway station due to easier transport and better storage facilities. After Edgar Mayer's decease in 2008, his brother-in-law Hannes Fischer takes over the company's management.
| Quality in many varieties |
| The new management manifests: "Quality and solid business relations have been our focus for more than 50 years. Special attention is given to our international clients’ particular wishes“. "Quality and special wood constitute our main emphasis. Custom product lines complement our range of goods. In close and long term collaboration with suppliers from all over Europe we are able to supply quality wood of almost all types." Mayer's export share amounts to 75 %.
